Job Description:
Reporting to the VP of Worldwide Marketing, the US Marketing Director or Sr. Manager plans and organizes US marketing programs, coordinates their execution, and ensures proper follow up and reporting. S/he works closely with Talend's US sales and business development organizations to drive demand generation, as well as with Talend's technology and channel partners to deploy joint marketing initiatives and support their promotion efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Define the marketing plan for the US, jointly with the VP of Marketing and the General Manager Americas
• Execute this marketing plan and measure its returns
• Drive Talend's PR efforts
• Organize Talend's participation to trade shows, conferences, seminars, webinars, etc.
• Coordinate online and offline marketing campaigns
• Review collaterals and other sales tools, create or adapt them if necessary
• Develop a peer relationship with the marketing teams of Talend's strategic partners, support their promotion efforts
• Negotiate and manage relationships with marketing vendors

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree and/or equivalent business or technical education
• 5-10 years experience running marketing for an IT company
• Prior experience working at very fast paced, rapidly growing software companies
• Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to think strategically but also to "get one's hands dirty" and to execute the programs
• Experience in one of the following spaces: integration, open source, databases, EAI, business intelligence, SOA; familiarity with the data integration space and/or the open source space would be a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, mastery of written English
• Good knowledge of desktop productivity tools (Office, Adobe, etc.); experience with desktop publishing tools would be a plus
• 20-40% travel, with peaks during trade show seasons

You will also collect and structure technical information and establish our editorial standards. You will also be responsible for:

• Writing and formatting technical documentation: quick reference, user manuals, reference manuals, online help materials, etc.
