The coming months will be marked by a historic event here at Talend: the official public launch of version 1.0.
Talend obtains FCPI qualification and financial support from OSEO anvar
OSEO-anvar provides support for innovative technology projects with tangible commercial potential in France and international markets. This public organization guides and finances small and medium-sized business with promising and pioneering projects by helping them maintain their technological lead, competitive edge and growth.
“The technological advances Talend’s software brings to the world market for data integration definitely caught our attention. The strategy of ‘breaking ranks’ with the traditional players should spark the interest of a number of clients,” said Mr. Vincent Guichemerre, chargé d’affaires at OSEO anvar. “Their R&D project occupies a key position in the solution, making it very strategic. The company relies on an adaptive structure and a strong potential for a very dynamic market.”
Talend raises 1 million Euros from AGF Private Equity and completes its first round financing
AGF Private Equity has joined Talend’s first round financing with one million euros.
AGF PRIVATE EQUITY, the leading European venture capital firm, has 1.5 billion euros under management. Following the announcement of Talend’s initial 2.1 million euros financing by Chausson Finance with Galileo Partners (see press release from May 29, 2006), AGF Private Equity’s participation strengthens Talend’s position as a leading player in the world market for open source-based ETL solutions.
“Talend’s break ranks positioning, which combines community spirit with a valid business model, seems to respond perfectly to the demands of organizations around the world. Talend respects the values of open communities, and "professionalizes" the introduction of open source into companies. AGF Private Equity is very interested in models that represent a sound alternative for organizations’ IT professionals.”
The funds raised in this round will be primarily dedicated to building Talend’s R&D structure and to the development of technical support, along with a major push to develop Talend internationally.

Product Roadmap
Beta 2: Now available online!
There’s an easy way for you to make a major contribution through the debugging process. As we gear up for the launch of a major version of Talend Studio, we are actively enlisting the help of users and companies willing to participate in this important phase to test and polish Talend’s second public beta.
This version has been available online for the past couple of days and can be downloaded at no charge from a dedicated area of our site at www.talend.com.
We have also created a forum which can be found in the Community section at www.talend.com/communities.htm where we invite you to post your comments and suggestions.
Talend Open Studio Version 1.0 & the worldwide launch
After 3 years of development and testing, Version 1.0 of Talend Open Studio will be available for download on October 5.
To mark this important launch, Talend is hosting an event in Paris on the morning of October 5, at the foot of the Statue of Liberty.
Before going live with V1, Talend will hold a roundtable that brings together luminaries from Industry and Open Source movement, including ObjectWeb, Mysql, Minefi, IDC and others.
